This is Kaea. Kaea has very limited vision. Kaea attended our Pedal Power programme. Kaea loved learning to ride a bike and was so enthusiastic that he could despite his disability. Kaea gives everything a go and we wanted to break down any challenging barriers. Giving Kaea a bike sent him a message that he can do anything. Recently Kaea received a re-cycled bike donated by Counties Manukau. He has demonstrated outstanding resilience learning to ride his bike and has improved so much since he first started riding back in Term 1.

Last week our local newspaper the Eastern Courier came and interviewed Kaea and below is the link to the newspaper article.
